Biography:
Originally a solo venture for the highly prolific Mark Pritchard, Reload truly found its voice when Tom Middleton joined the project for the “Autoreload” EP. As Tom became more heavily involved, the duo produced their now legendary “A Collection of Short Stories” album–which due a limited pressing, remains highly sought after to this day. The thirteen tracks on the album serve as a soundtrack of sorts, each meant to accompany a short sci-fi story included within the liner notes. The soundtrack-inspired nature of these songs are readily apparent, although the actually musical style falls somewhere between ambient techno and early 1990s-era electro industrial.
