Biography:
When talking about German drum & bass from the nineties, it is almost impossible not to mention the name Makai. Within a short period of time, this production outfit hailing from a small town called Hanau, took the  scene by storm. Among the many club hit they produced, it was Beneath the Mask that put Makai on the map. The track pioneer new ground for the D&B scene by heavily sampling Kenji Kawai’s theme to the film Ghost in the Shell, merging it their minimalist and hard-as-nails sound.
