Members: Frank Marheineke, Jan Hennig.
Genre: Drum & Bass, Techstep.
Biography:
Ono Sendai is the drum & bass side-project of producer Frank Marheineke and veteran club DJ, Jan Hennig. The a pair is better known for their work under the name Makai, which does share similarities with the Ono Sendai project. Taking their name from the device futuristic hacker Case uses in William Gibson’s Neuromancer, Ono Sendai‘s sound has a cool preciseness to it that calls to mind Case’s journey through the cyberspace matrix.

Throughout the 1990s the duo released three vinyl 12″ records under the name, producing a total of seven tracks. While most of the songs found their way onto various drum & bass compilations in the 90s, most have since been collected onto a pair of EPs, entitled P01 and P03.  Both are currently available on Bandcamp.

EPs:
• P01 (1997)
•
P03 (1997)

Vinyl 12″ :
• Forecast / React (1997)
• Codebreaker / Fallen Angels (1997)
• Ono Sendai / The Uniques (1998)
