The success of the series spawned several sequel series. The first of them was the three-part OVA Bubblegum Crash (バブルガムクラッシュ!, Baburugamu Kurasshu!). After the split between Artmic and Youmex, Artmic proceeded to make a sequel on their own, Bubblegum Crash, which ran three OVA episodes and is conjectured that it was a shortened version of how Crisis was to end. Youmex promptly sued Artmic, cutting Crash short and tying the entire franchise up in legal issues for the next several years.

The years is 2034. With the threat of the Genom corporation gone and Sylia’s father avenged, the Knight Sabers have all drifted off to pursue their own goals. Sylia has disappeared, Priss careeras a rock star has taken off, and Linna has moved over to playing stock market. Only Nene’s still working with the AD Police and trying to keep the Knight Saber ideal alive. At the same time, a group of mercenaries calling themselves the Illegal Army begin acting under the orders of a mysterious voice. Under the voice’s guidence, they begin attacking tech companies to stealing componates belonging to a unique artificial intelligence. Unexpectedly, Sylia resurfaces and pulls the Knight Sabers back into action. In doing so, she discovers a gigantic machine is drilling its way to Mega Tokyo’s main nuclear power plant. With it the Knight Sabers come face to face with an old and deadly enemy.
