Biography:
Amelia Arsenic is a visual artist and fashion designer originally from Sydney but now based in London. A founding member of cyberpunk band Angelspit, Amelia also work under her own name as a music solo project. A singular vision of broken and beautiful sounds, she describes the project as, “harsh beats for dark times.” Both penetrating and personal, as well as occasionally playful, the lyrics maintain a heady undercurrent of hedonistic nihilism.

Amelia’s debut EP “Carbon Black” was a collection of electro-edged club tracks about entropy, violence, one-night stands, and the complexities of love and need. Written with Pete Crane and  Ben Bulig of the band Shiv-R, the album’s style is a unique mix of beat heavy industrial with a touch of hip-hip and the moments melodic beauty. But it’s the vocals that stand out most. But it’s the vocals stand out most as Amelia shifts effortless from sweet, the harsh, soulful, to a hard hitting, rhythmic spoken word. The overall effect is infectious, talking the harsh masculine edge of industrial and infusing it with feminine allure.

Her sophomore EP, Queen of Risk, an electro-punk rivet-jams with a satirical edge, was a collaboration with producer/programmer Sean Payne (Cyanotic, Vampyre Anvil, CONFORMCO).
